Christiane Tureczek

Professional Training, Career
Christiane Tureczek completed her training with Al' Leu (sculptor and publisher) and Ueli Gantner (sculptor and graphic designer) and then deepened her knowledge at the SKDZ (School of Art and Design Zurich) and in various special courses such as nude modelling, illustration, stone sculpting, etc.

Current Position
Christiane Tureczek is a freelance artist working mainly in the field of sculpture and installation, with regular international exhibitions.
After living in Greece for several years, she now works and lives in Ticino, where, in addition to her own studio, she also runs an open painting studio in the tradition of the intermedial method and works as a course instructor for the scuola di scultura in Peccia.

Further Information
Christiane Tureczek worked for sculpture-network for many years as coordinator for Switzerland and is a member of the artistic committee of the recently opened Centro Internazionale di Scultura in Peccia (CIS).
She has an intensive relationship with books - as an avid reader, she writes poems and short texts. Her fascination with different writings, types of printing, types of paper and illustrations also finds its way into her artistic works.
